The platform lets performers host events, sell tickets, and manage open mic slots, while audiences can discover shows, buy tickets, and follow performers. The project runs under the Alegrify / Livecomedy brand and is deployed on Google Cloud Platform. Project Status This repository was the source code for Alegrify LLC, which operated until roughly 3 to 4 years ago. What it does Event discovery — Automatically scrapes comedy events from third-party sources on a cron schedule and adds them to the database. Event management — Authenticated hosts can create, update, and manage events with images, pricing, and performer lineups. Ticketing — Full ticketing system including ticket reservation, payment, QR-code generation, and ticket verification at the door. Open mic management — Performers can book slots at open mic nights; hosts manage lineups via a chat-like interface. Performer profiles — Comedian and performer directory with scraped and user-submitted profiles. Comedy Planner — Tools for planning comedy nights, syncing with Eventbrite and Meetup, and managing teams. User accounts — Sign-up, email/password login, Facebook auth, profile management, and newsletters.
