About Super Simple Habit Tracker
Build Habit Streaks & Track Your Daily Performance
I decided to build this website after years of experimenting with various habit-tracking, productivity, and time-management systems. I learned what actually works best for me — but my tracking systems lived in WordPad documents and plain spreadsheets that felt very boring to use and where reviewing my performance felt extremely messy. So I distilled the best practices that helped me stay consistent and productive into a tool I actually wanted to use. I asked myself: "If I could wave a magic wand and create the ideal habit tracker, what would it look like?", and then, I built this website. Instead of needing to scroll through lengthy documents, or flip through dozens of different app screens, I wanted one single screen that allowed me up to update AND visualize everything: how I've been doing lately, how my performance compares to my goals, and exactly where I need to step my game up. At its core, the Super Simple Habit Tracker focuses on two things that drive real behavior change: 1) streaks and 2) quantified daily output. You build momentum on this website through increasingly larger "days in a row I've done this" habit streaks that make getting the job done almost guaranteed (otherwise, you'll break the large streaks you've built up.) You also log real work — amounts of time spent, or counts completed — and compare it against your own performance targets (on a self-defined range, where each habit has its own "terrible-bad-acceptable-good-excellent" value). The website then provides you with clear visual feedback that shows instantly whether you’re meeting your standards or falling short. All habits live in one place, giving you an at-a-glance snapshot across the areas of life that matter most. You can track positive habits you want to grow and negative habits you want to reduce, turning the tool into a single source of truth for personal accountability. Subtle gamification — streak badges, milestone recognition, and encouraging feedback — acknowledges the disciplined effort that usually goes unseen, making consistency feel rewarding instead of like a thankless grind where you're doing a mountain of boring work each day that nobody sees or appreciates. In my estimation, most habit apps add friction or hide insights behind layers of UI: They have tons of flashy analytics and every conceivable type of chart and graph you could imagine, BUT everything is so spread out and checking/updating these apps becomes a tiresome chore in and of itself. Spreadsheets offer flexibility but zero motivation since they're so boring to update and interact with. This website is what I found to be the optimal habit-tracking system without any needless fluff. If you want a simple habit-tracking system that pushes you to improve your productivity and maintain consistency over the long haul, that is exactly what I built this website for.
