Selah is a lightweight, privacy-friendly web app that converts short user prompts into personalized, faith-first prayers and spoken audio. Users type what they want to pray about (or request a short prayer for a loved one), then Selah generates a warm, human-sounding prayer, optionally synthesizes server‑side audio, mixes in gentle ambient sound, and creates a downloadable/shareable prayer card image. It’s perfect for apps, ministries, or independent creators who want to offer short, comforting prayer experiences to their audience. Key features Personalized prayers: prompts become tailored prayers (friend mode produces short 20s prayers). Server & browser TTS: server TTS for high-quality audio (ElevenLabs/OpenAI pipeline) with browser SpeechSynthesis fallback. Ambient audio: mixes/background ambient tracks for a calming listening experience (random track selection). One free server audio per day for free users, subscription or trial for unlimited audio. Shareable prayer card: export beautifully-styled PNG cards for social sharing or messaging. Local-first UX: immediate in-place previews while server generation completes (no jarring navigation). Simple REST APIs: backend routes for generation, history, share card generation, and background audio listing. Drizzle + Postgres for persistence, Supabase for optional auth. User submits a need or custom message in the UI. 2. Client immediately shows a locally-generated preview for quick feedback. 3. The server generates a polished prayer (LLM) or uses a template fallback, decides whether to create server-side audio (based on subscription/trial/daily-quota), optionally synthesizes audio, saves the prayer and returns prayerId, prayerText, and audioUrl. 4. Client updates the in-place preview with server text/audio and lets users play, download, or share a prayer card. Monetization ideas Freemium: one free server audio per day, paywall for unlimited server audio and high-fidelity voice choices. Credits: sell audio generation credits or subscription tiers with monthly credits. White-label / embed licensing for churches or ministries. Paid analytics/reporting or premium voice packs.
