Tik Tak! was born out of the desire to bring back a platform that many loved & miss, but with some minor adjustments in content curation in order to ensure a healthy anonymous community for all. Tik Tak! users can post anonymous 140 character messages which are shown to users within a 3 mile radius. Users can vote, comment, and flag posts. The critical difference with Tik Tak! is that each user who wants to post, vote, comment, etc. must provide a valid mobile phone number. This phone number is never shared with other users (it's not even in any API responses), but is used solely for an admin to discipline users who violate the "be friendly" policy. If you so wish, this aspect of the service could be easily removed. Tik Tak!, between Android & iPhone, has about 500 downloads, primarily in the Philadelphia area.
