About Looksy AI - The AI Lookalike App

Looksy AI is an app that uses facial recognition to match users to a lookalike.

Looksy AI is a privacy-focused, full-stack web application that uses real facial recognition technology to match users with their closest visual lookalike based on facial embeddings. Built with a polished React frontend and a Dockerized Python backend leveraging open-source libraries like face recognition and dlib, the app offers a seamless user experience: users upload a photo, receive a similarity-based match, and have the option to connect with their lookalike via Instagram if mutual interest exists. The product emphasizes privacy and user control, storing no images and focusing on transparent, opt-in interactions. With a clear brand identity, deployable infrastructure, and an end-to-end user flow already in place—including waitlist capture and scalable architecture—Looksy AI serves as a proof-of-concept for privacy-first, consumer-facing AI applications with potential for expansion into social discovery, identity-based networking, or entertainment.

Next step:
Once a more prominent online presence is there and there is traction via social media and the waitlist, along with further adding to the dataset of faces and improving the ai recognition, a subscription model or a credit model can be introduced for users to use the service. It is also very well made to go viral on social media and could become a trend with users meeting their twins and lookalikes online. New additions could also be made such as celebrity lookalike (though they already exist) and people from history.
