Alaska Bunch is an optimized polling platform that allows users to build text or picture-based polls on our website, select audience demographics from our voter base, and then collect responses from voters on our mobile app, paying just a few pennies per vote. Real time results are delivered to the poll-creator in a detailed infographic, providing analytics based on several demographics: Age Gender Location Device The voting end of our platform is a mobile application available for free on Android and iPhone. Users that download the app first fill in basic demographic info (email, birthdate, gender, and zip code), complete a short tutorial, and then can begin voting on polls. Voters get paid a small amount of money for each poll they answer, which is credited to their account until they reach a minimum cash-out amount. Our first users have been given a $5 credit to their accounts upon signing up, and then have a $25 minimum cash-out, which they can lower by referring friends to download the app ($1 per referral). The fast and rewarding nature of voting on our app makes it quite addicting for users. How can poll creators be sure the data collected from voters is reliable and accurate? Glad you asked! We've taken the following measures to ensure quality data: A minimum time to vote, forcing voters to read through the poll before voting The ability to skip polls that voters don't want to answer Embedded "test polls" that show us if voters are paying attention and voting honestly (e.g. "which device are you using?") Using these methods, we've measured poll data to be 98% accurate. Revenue Model: Alaska Bunch charges a percentage fee to poll creators for each vote they pay for. Alaska Bunch is structured as a marketplace, allowing us to act as an independent third party that is not considered an employer of our voters. In the US, voters can classify money made on Alaska Bunch in their tax returns as "money earned from online surveys."
