Welcome to LinkApp. We’re a self-coined social networking utility. Why not just categorize ourselves as a social media network? That’s a great question.—Because this isn’t exactly social media.The world has never been more connected, yet we are less social than ever before. LinkApp helps you meet new people, manage relationships, organize events, find things to do, communicate in large groups on the go, etc. In your never-ending quest to be more social, we’ll be right by your side, helping along the way. The app operates on a proxy-based system, meaning that you discover other people, events, and chats as you move around throughout the day. With LinkApp, you can host and micromanage your party with ease (or find something to do on the map if you’re bored), get a cute date for the night while you’re at the mall, stay in the loop on what your friends are doing through the map, or talk with your neighbourhood through a user-created GeoChat. Select one, and we’ll direct you there in-app.What’s The Move?:Planning events:Make your event public (viewable by everyone on-app in a given radius) or make it private (friends/invite only). The choice is yours.Name it, describe it, put in the address, and get it out there.You can see who plans on attending through the event’s page and talk to everyone at once using the event’s group chat.People can “like” your event too if they’re really looking forward to it. Events with the most likes show up at the top of the list.When your event’s finished, you end it in-app as well. Afterwards, your event-goers issue you a rating based on your event. The rating reflects on your event-maker rating, found on your profile.Finding events:Browse through user-made events, or go to one directly through a Link Up!Events are visible on the map and can be accessed through the menu or their blips. You’ll only be aware of an event if it’s public and hosted within your geofence or if a friend invited you.Talk with everyone going in the group chat, and see if any of your friends will be there.Filter what events you want to see based on radius, date, duration, and location. It’s all about preference.Follow other users and get notified when they host an event. After it’s done, you can rate them based on your experience.GeoChat: location-based group chats (A whole new way to chat)Create a GeoChat, and anyone within its GeoFence (radius) may join.Make them private, or don’t, it’s up to you.You can join different GeoChats and talk to new people as you go throughout different areas.Pin it down, name it, and change the cover photo. Now you’ve got your very own customized GeoChat. That’s all there is to it.
