Swell Diary is a curated archive of raw and daily YouTube surf videos from the best breaks and swells from around the world. Organised by date, surf break and region.


I love surfing and watching surf videos. I'm lucky that I live close to one of the worlds surfing epicenters - the Gold Coast in Australia. After going for a surf I'd regularly get home, watch YouTube and up would pop daily surf videos from the exact break I'd been surfing that day. And that sparked the idea for Swell Diary.


There are hundreds of raw, daily surf videos uploaded to YouTube each month but I wanted to organise them in to a historical archive in a diary format. I've created a database of YouTube videos and organised them by date, break and region.


I have lots of ideas for the future but for now I want to see if there are enough surfers out there interested in watching surf videos and the locations they surfed.
