Our Story: @Tweeter was born out of a desire to create a platform where users could express themselves freely without the fear of being constantly monitored or restricted. I'm Siva Vimel Rajhen, a dedicated programmer who believes in the power of anonymity and the right to privacy. Having experienced the invasive nature of mainstream social media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, and X, I wanted to build something different—a place where privacy is paramount, and users are truly free to share and connect. The Problem with Traditional Social Media Mainstream social media platforms have increasingly become places where user data is harvested, analyzed, and often misused. They require extensive personal information, track user behavior, and can limit the information users see based on algorithms and external influences. This constant surveillance and data manipulation can be invasive and detrimental to genuine free expression. The Solution: @Tweeter @Tweeter is a privacy-centric messaging app that requires no registration, collects no personal information, and doesn't track user activity. Here are some of its key features: Complete Anonymity: Users can send messages without revealing their identity. No Registration Needed: There's no need to provide personal information like phone numbers or email addresses. Temporary Message Storage: Messages are stored as plain strings in RAM for only 24 hours, with no metadata or user identifiers attached. Custom Security Measures: Developed a custom Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tool for real-time threat analysis without storing user data. Regular Security Audits: Conducted to ensure compliance with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and maintain high security standards. Admin Panel for User Safety: Allows admins to monitor and remove unethical content in public spaces, ensuring a safe environment for all users. My Role I have single-handedly developed @Tweeter, handling everything from coding and design to creating the incident response playbook and custom SIEM tool. I've also ensured the app adheres to the highest security standards through regular audits and validation against the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. @Tweeter is more than just an app; it's a movement towards protecting individual privacy and fostering genuine freedom of expression.
