Peacock - Sell Project

Peacock is a location specific social networking and messaging app. It allows you to get in touch with everyone in your immediate area, be it a bar, a festival, a conference, a university faculty etc. Through this we hoped to create a friendlier world, where people can leverage technology to actually meet new people, instead of just viewing happenings from afar after they’ve already occurred. In a nutshell, it allows users to join and/or create location specific messaging rooms (which can only be accessed if they are within it's area). Users can also send private messages (fully functional messaging is integrated!). So why are we selling the side project? Both of the co-founders are MD/PhD students that figured it would be fun to start a startup. It worked well for a year, but we both have an intensive year ahead of us and don't have time to continue the development. We've received great feedback and still believe that the project has a huge potential, but it's time for us to move on. We have been listed on Product Hunt, and have a small user base that seems enthusiastic about the further testing of the idea. In addition to all the work the founders have put in, over 13 000 USD has been spent on development, branding and promotion, so this is a steal for 5000 USD!
