Programming language aware diffs for Visual Studio Code
SemanticDiff is a programming-language aware diff for Visual Studio Code. The extension helps software developers understand code changes faster by hiding style-only changes, detecting moved code blocks as well as refactorings. Check out the demo on our website to discover more benefits of SemanticDiff. In contrast to normal diffs that only compare raw text, SemanticDiff compares the structure and meaning of two source codes. To achieve this our algorithm parses the code to identify its individual elements, such as variables, functions, and control structures. Using this additional information, SemanticDiff can provide features not available in other diff tools like git diff.
