Why are you selling the business?
I'm better at building software that I am at running businesses. This platform has huge potential in a very lucrative market.
I am also in need of money right now, so as a result I am planning to sell off multiple websites and side projects that I have built.
This platform was built for one off payments via a top up credit feature (using Stripe), but could easily to integrated to use SaaS (with Stripe).
What is included in the sale?
All assets, with source code, including git repository and domain name transfer.
What is the technological stack?
Ruby on Rails 6, integrated with Stripe for payments. Bootstrap 5 for easy front-end design and updates. Amazon S3 bucket is used to store image uploads (profile images and company logos).
No complicated JS frameworks used on front end.
What actions are required to keep the business working?
Main actions will be marketing, to reach new customers and onboard them to use the platform.
How does your business make money?
Pre-revenue but Stripe payments are integrated to top up user credits.
It costs 1 credit for each new quotation and invoice created for pay-as-you-go plan.
What marketing initiatives have been used for this business?
No marketing efforts, aside from adding to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster tools.
How can the future owner improve this business?
Marketing first and foremost. It's also worth considering adding a monthly/annual SaaS plan for recurring revenue. All of the functionality is there, just need to tweak the business logic a little to prevent charging one credit for each invoice/quotation.
