Developed by Josh Wardle, a Brooklyn-based software developer, the wordle game is a word-guessing game that he created for himself and his partner since they both enjoy word games. As a pun on his last name, he dubbed it Wordle. His loved ones and friends rallied around him after that. It has since been decided by Mr. Wardle that he will release it to the general public in October.

The Wordle Game's simple design, which does not include adverts or flashing banners, as well as no pop-ups or money solicitations, is a big draw for players.
