Playlist Makr is a database that helps musicians get their music on Spotify playlists. Subscribers browse through thousands of playlists and access the curators' contact info. You can put on a paywall We collect email addresses Operations To reach a bigger audience, musicians often need to get their music featured on popular Spotify playlists. The process of finding the right playlists AND finding the curators' information to send them a pitch is long and daunting. Playlist Makr makes it easy. By creating an account on the platform, musicians access a database featuring thousands of playlists along with the curators' information. They can sort playlists depending on genres and styles to find the ones that best match their style, and access curators' contact information. We don't have a paywall therefore don't make money yet. However, we collect email addresses and it's possible to turn the website into a freemium business or put a paywall on it. Users Our users are indie musicians looking to promote their music to a wider audience. Financials I pay for the domain ($12/year), website hosting ($20-60/month, depending on the month), and management/housekeeping of the database by a software engineer ($33/month). Traffic The traffic isn't very high because I did literally nothing to grow the website. It has some users already, and I created some content on Medium, but that's it. So the potential for growth is huge. Additional Notes This website was built by a software engineer. He's still the one taking care of the tech aspect. You could obviously do it yourself if you're technical, but if not -- for $33/month he takes care of everything. I created social media accounts for the website already, and a Medium blog with existing content is already in place. I'm selling because I'm going back to school at the end of the year and don't have enough time to grow the site. I'm open to negotiations, although still hoping to get enough out of it to pay for tuition. Thanks!
