An SMS marketing service that delivers a "deal-of-the day" to over 900 subscribers, targeting the indian market. Over 900 indian subscribers, who provided their phone number. Most also provided age and gender, and some their email address. Huge profit margins potential Possibility to start expanding to email marketing. This service allows for 2 ways of monetizing: 1) other businesses can use it to advertise their products/services. or 2) you can use it to advertise and sell your own products (if for instance, you run a jewelry dropshipping business, you can advertise daily deals for your pieces). Other businesses can apply to run their own ads through the website. Text message ads can be sent as SMS or MMS. MMS allow to embed image and video on the text, making it more engaging for subscribers. SMS uses only text, but links and emojis can be used, so you can direct subscribers to a product on your website or a landing page. I use bulk SMS services such as ClickSend to send both SMS and MMS. SMS usually costs around $0.025 per number, which allows for great profit margins. MMS is more expensive to send, at around $0.30 per number. Advertisers must submit the ad copy, creative (in case of MMS), and final link. Complementary services such as copywriting and creative design can also be offered at an additional cost. Right now there are 910 subscribers, all from India. Subscriber base can be expanded to other countries. They have all registered using their phone number. Most also provided their age and gender, which allows for better ad targeting. Recently I've started requesting their email address, so around 70 subscribers have also submitted their emails. Costs to run this service are: Approx. $12/month for website hosting, Approx. $15/year to renew domain Around $0.025/per sms sent and $0.30 per MMS sent.
