Reason for selling:

I decided to sell Sea Moss Island due to recent events in my life that are causing me to need a break. Selling Sea Moss Island was not in my long term plans but life happens and I realize that taking a break for a few months is in my best interest. I have been consistently making products, shipping, customer service etc for over a year (since May of 2020) and adding new products often. In order for Sea Moss Island to continue to grow and scale, there will need to be at least a few people that can help with the tasks that is required for it to be successful. Such as customer service, shipping etc.
I'm including my custom products and recipes with this sale. I have many products that sell very well from sea moss gummies, sea moss gel, sea moss body butter, sea moss matcha tea, sea moss dog treats and bones, etc.
I put a lot of work, time, and effort into building Sea Moss Island brand to what it is today. Sea Moss Island has made a great name for itself and is respected by many in the sea moss industry. We have thousands of loyal customers and continue to get new customers daily.

I spend about 20 hours per week on making products and shipping orders. Many of our sales are returning customers who buy from us often due to the fact that sea moss is a supplement that people use daily. When they run out, they return to buy more. The profit margin for selling sea moss is high at 71%. Sea Moss Island has more sea moss products than any other sea moss company in the United States.
I have 2 suppliers for the sea moss, I will put the buyer in touch with both of them.
Having a commercial kitchen space will definitely be helpful. Having this space will help with keeping up with the demand for inventory.
Marketing/ Advertising:
I use Google Ads to drive traffic although most of our sales come from word of mouth referrals and returning customers. We haven't used social media ads but do think that it will help drive more sales. I also have used social media influencers a few times.
Customers:
We see a wide variety of customers purchasing our products. Everyone is open to trying natural supplements that will help boost their immune system. Almost 50% of our customers come back and purchase from us again and again.
How future buyer can easily scale/My Mistakes:
1. I believe the biggest mistake that I've made with Sea Moss Island is not getting the proper help needed to scale. I spent time doing things that I should have sourced help for. I believe in doing things myself and that is probably the biggest mistake I've made.
2. Another mistake that I made was turning down offers for collaborations and wholesale orders. I have 1 celebrity wholesale client who bought in bulk from me often (and still orders regularly) and spent so far a total of Approx $35K in the past 12 months. This income is not included in the revenue on this listing because I didn't ask for their permission due to the fact that they are 1 of my competitors and privacy purposes. I've turned down wholesale orders and collabs from Nestle, Pharmaceutical companies and more. The reason is because I don't have a team big enough to fulfill their requirements. Most of the time I do everything alone.
3. Not being active on social media often is another mistake that I made. The buyer should be someone who is willing to post on social media often and be available to be engaging with their audience. Try social media ads and maybe even hire a social media manager to help with this task.
4. Mistake 4 is not keeping enough inventory in Amazon FBA. I recommend the buyer to send as much inventory to FBA as possible. At this time I'm only selling 2 of my products on Amazon which are the 50gram bags of dry purple and gold sea moss on Amazon. The buyer can scale by sending in more inventory and products.
Best Sellers:
Although all of our products sell extremely well the best sellers are our dry gold and purple sea moss bags that are sold in 50gram bags and by the pound. Also the gold and purple sea moss gels. If the buyer doesn't want to sell the custom items they can still make a great profit selling only dry sea moss and sea moss gel alone.
