Detailed Description
Scrolltrotter is a browser extension that was featured on the front page of both Hacker News and Product Hunt when it was launched.
This extension calculates and logs the number of miles we've scrolled and displays the metrics. (And maybe help us think more about standing up and logging some actual miles.)
We all do a lot of scrolling in our browsers. If you could convert pixels to mi/km, how far would you scroll each day?
This extension attempts to answer this question by:
- counting the no. of pixels you've scrolled down on a webpage and converting them into an actual physical unit of distance (in mi/km)
- logging your scrolls across the web and displaying the metrics
- displaying the list of websites you scroll the most.
