Intro

I'm selling a short-video sharing application.

I have worked on the app for only 4 months and it has got 10,000 downloads on the Google Play Store already. It is also notable that I have other projects and only spent ~ 10 hours in a week growing the project.

It has 26 5-star reviews and the app size is just 8mb, so, many people installed it.

How I grew

It's Play Store listing itself is super optimized and get around 70 users each day with no effort. A little extra effort can be made to grow the app even faster. For example, I branded best/viral videos with a logo on it and shared them on Facebook Groups, my personal Instagram stories and WhatsApp. In this example, the virality did the job for us and increased our reach. 

With little work like sharing best and viral videos from other social media, the app can be made really engaging.

More growth opportunity

The app is in English language and can support a wide range of audiences! The videos in it are meant for Tamil (a popular language in India) speaking audiences, but since anybody can upload videos to it you can upload any language videos to cover that audience. The growth can be much higher if you try to cover other audiences and reach them. 

Currently, TikTok, the popular video-sharing app with 800M India is removed because it had data/privacy issues. So, 800M users are searching for an alternative, leverage that.
