Push data from LinkedIn to CRM: highly wanted by sales people!
What / Why I built this LinkedIn is the biggest business social network, and companies know this. That's why all companies that are serious about lead generation / market research use LinkedIn to find customers. Allmost all companies who do this have a CRM system as well, in which they keep track of their Leads and Customers. I started building this product as I noticed sales reps in a company I was doing consulting at manually copy-pasting a lot of data from LinkedIn profiles to their CRM system. So I built a chrome extension that opens up a form when you visit a LinkedIn profile, and fills out the profile information in the form. Then, with a push of a button, the data can be pushed to the CRM system, where a new Lead/Contact is created or updated. Many business developers will lose a lot of time copy-pasting this data manually, and look at 10's to 100's of profiles per day. Therefore it's not hard to make a business case to buy LeadExporter just for the time saving. Not doing stupid copy-pasting = more time for actual value creating activities. Proven concept + why I'm selling I started this project about 2 years ago as I noticed this need and did a few test projects in companies nearby. The users all loved the product and one of these companies paid a license for a year. At the same time I was working on another startup that suddenly really took off and required all my attention. That other startup has now turned into a full-time endeavour with 10 people and corporate/enterprise customers world wide. Because of that, I completely ignored LeadExporter.io. With the other startup needing > 100% of my time, I decided to hand over LeadExporter.io to someone else. I never got the point where I could actually market/promote this product. The website has still been online and still gets a bit of organic traffic and some signups. Currently the product is not being used which is a shame knowing the potential of it. That's why I want to hand it over to someone who can realise the potential of this app. It's not that hard to have this product make you a few grant a month. I actually know the amounts other LinkedIn automation tools make, and it's crazy. Huge target market I know the demand for this product is massive. We need it in our new startup, I've had requests from a company who wanted to have 100 licenses per month, there has been interest through my consulting contacts from consultants asking around if there is a tool like this because their customers need it, I just see people manually copy-pasting LinkedIn data to their CRM everywhere... Sales / business developers are not the only ones who benefit from this. I was also speaking to recruiters, who constantly browse LinkedIn looking for candidates and need to create/update contacts in their candidate management system. Currently LeadExporter integrates with Salesforce, the worlds largest CRM system with 150,000 customers. I had also started looking into integrating with Hubspot CRM, probably the worlds second largest CRM system, as we need that for our new startup. That has never been completed but it probably takes only a day or 2 of work. The potential market for LeadExporter.io is already huge, but can be easily expanded by integrating with more different CRM systems using the same framework. Most CRM systems allow you to create a free 'developer environment' you can use to build an API integration. As far as I know there is no competition who does exactly the same. There are some other tools that integrate with LinkedIn focussed on automation, eg scraping many pages on LinkedIn or automatically sending connection requests. These tools are also known to cause issues for users as LinkedIn detects unnatural usage. With LeadExporter.io that won't happen because it only reads the page the user is already visiting and does not make additional API calls to LinkedIn servers. Overview functionality When you visit a LinkedIn profile, a form pops up with the data from the profile. Create / update a contact in your CRM with the click of a button. In LinkedIn Messages, you can see the context from the CRM system: the details of the contact as well as related activities, like calls you had with that person. Log InMail messages as Tasks in your CRM LeadExporter.io exists of 3 parts: Web app where people create accounts and do configuration Website all built out with contact form, faq, documentation etc Chrome extension on the Chrome web store How can this make money? This would be a straight forward SaaS model. I would propose a free plan, which contains for example 10 free contacts created per month, and have users who want to sync more contacts go to the paid plan. You can charge between 20-30 USD/EUR per user / month. With a fixed cost of 10 USD / month to run this app, you'll be in profit as of one paying user.
Next step: <p>All the hard work has been done; the product is built, in a framework that allows easy expanding to other CRM's. Reason for selling
I started working on another startup at the same time as LeadExporter.io and the other product has really taken off. I'm the CTO and cofounder of that other startup and don't have any time/attention left to work on LeadExporter.io, though I see what needs to be done, and I believe the buyer can really do a good deal here since market validation is done and the product is operational.
