Welcome to Minimal. There are hundreds of notes apps, yet few resemble the experience of a real notebook. They’re more like desks, file cabinets, and big binders that no one in their right mind would want to carry around. They’re certainly a far cry from the beauty of a blank page. Minimal | Notes exists to deliver on the promise of human-centered design, modern technology, and spaciousness. The experience for the notetaker is intended to be simple yet powerful – just like how a notebook feels. SUBTRACTIVE DESIGN Minimal’s best features are subtractive. For example... • The Note Lifetime ensures old, burdensome notes disappear at just the right time, freeing space for something new. • Markdown-style formatting eliminates the clunkiness of complex formatting menus. • Minimal is designed so that only one element is ever in focus. As a culture, we aren’t very conscious or deliberate around the “letting go” experience.
