Eventn - Node.js HTTP Microservices Platform - Sell Project

Eventn is a serverless Node.js microservices SaaS platform for HTTP workloads. Deploy RESTful services for Data Processing, SQL Analytics or Machine Learning with a single click.The Eventn platform is much like services such as AWS Lambda or GCP Cloud Functions however the significant difference is that Eventn provides a secure, production ready, database backed microservice with a single click. The user interface provides an intuitive development environment for rapid JavaScript microservice development.How Does It Work?Once created, each microservice provides an asynchronous POST function and a synchronous GET function. These functions are executed by initiating an HTTP request using their respective methods.Each microservice also provides a MySQL table whereby incoming JSON data can be persisted. Eventn also supports external database connectors to MySQL (and compatible e.g. MemSQL), PostgreSQL, MariaDB and Microsoft SQL Server.ArchitectureThe platform has been developed using Node.js and runs within an AWS environment. The server side components that powers api.eventn.com and service.eventn.com simply runs on commodity EC2 instances of any size, depending upon the throughput requirements. The main database layer is an RDS MySQL instance.The sever side api is deployed to an EC2 instance (or a prebuilt AMI can be used) which sit behind a load balancer. This makes it incredibly easy to scale the platform up and down by adding or removing instances from the load balancer.A new EC2 image can be built from scratch with the Eventn code deployed within a few minutes.Each HTTP request that is made to the platform gets loaded in to a ZMQ message queue located on each node. The HTTP request initiates a sandboxed process that loads and executes each microservice using a new unix process. This offers very low latency "cold startup" times and zero latency subsequent request processing using a process cache.Business PotentialThe initial inception of the platform was focused on being able to easily create microservices for data processing e.g. data coming in over HTTP, perform some processing on it and store it to a SQL database. The beauty of the platform is that any NPM modules can be whitelisted meaning that the platform can be repurposed for any task. For example, perhaps you wish to provide a SaaS platform for image compression, or language detection or machine learning using Tensorflow etc etc. You can see some examples within the recipes section here: https://eventn.com/recipes. Right now the platform is a generic data processing SaaS however with the platform is suitable for any use case whereby an HTTT GET or POST request needs to be processed.BillingThe billing component through to credit card payment has not yet been implemented. What has been implemented is the logging of all process execution times. The business model I have chosen is to charge by the 100ms of process execution time to provide a serverless experience.
