We are a London-based, VC-funded (Ascension Ventures) company who recently completed the ‘Techstars Accelerator Program’. We have a very successful background in content, having launched and run two successful content sites: planetivy.com and screenrobot.com. What we do #1: User acquisition/social media growth strategy From a standing start, Pitchswag, a new online incubator, was looking to build awareness of its idea, gather feedback, and drive sign-ups on its site. Approach: we identified and reached out to people that were most likely to want to use their platform - entrepreneurs, founders, CEOs, investors, designers, and developers. We sent over 3,000 tweets in the first 75 days, amongst other interactions, thereby directly or indirectly interacting with potential users. We believe every interaction with a relevant user can be turned into a potential sign-up onsite. We also recommended an “invite friends” code for all users who signed up, which increased the amount of sign-ups exponentially. Results: Pitchswag’s Twitter following grew by over 6,500 people in the first 90 days of the campaign: Pitchswag was featured on influential sites like Start-up Daily, Latest Buzz, and Curagami We drove over 10,000 highly targeted visitors to their website 1,500+ entrepreneurs, experts, and investors in total signed-up for Pitchswag in the first 90 days Pitchswag received constructive feedback on its idea from hundreds of potential users on various platforms. They also received lots of positive public feedback on Twitter.
