About PrintReady — Catch costly printing mistakes before you publish
Catch costly printing mistakes before you publish, with instant file checks

Next step: <p>1. Get it production-ready (infrastructure, ~1–2 days of work) Provision their own Supabase project and run supabase/migrations/0001_init.sql (already documented step-by-step in docs/TRANSFER_CHECKLIST.md). Deploy the separate Python/FastAPI PDF-analysis microservice somewhere with persistent storage (Railway, Fly.io, Render, or a small VPS) — it currently runs locally/undeployed. Point Supabase Auth's SMTP at their own domain so password-reset emails don't come from a generic address. 2. Flip on real billing (hours, not days) Create a Freemius product, drop in the credentials — the entire checkout, webhook, and customer-portal flow is already coded and tested, just dormant. This is probably the single highest-leverage step since it turns the product from a demo into something that can charge money on day one. 3. Expand the product (already scoped in the included roadmap doc, not vague ideas): Batch inspection (cover + interior cross-checked together — e.g. spine width vs. page count) Team/workspace accounts (schema already supports extending with a team_id) Printer-specific presets for popular POD services (KDP, IngramSpark, Lulu trim sizes) CSV/JSON report export for studios tracking QA across many titles A public API so other platforms could embed "check my file" in their own upload flow 4. Go after the niche directly — the target customer is self-publishers and POD creators who've been burned by a rejected print file. That audience congregates in identifiable places (r/selfpublish, KDP Facebook groups, author communities, book-formatting freelancer networks) — a buyer with some content/community marketing could realistically validate demand cheaply before investing further, since the hard engineering work (the actual analysis engine, auth, billing, dashboard) is already done.</p>
