About TapMap
A social network on maps: where to go right now, and with whom
Every evening starts with the same question: "where do we go?" TapMap is a social network built on maps, a city that looks back at you. It knows you love Japanese food and hate crowds, that rain pulls you somewhere cozy and Friday night somewhere loud. It shows where your friends are, who is on the way to you, and where your cat is walking. Swipe a deck of places picked for your taste: real reviews instead of stars, prices by the real bill, time of day, weather and opening hours. See restaurant menus with prices and dish photos before you leave home, and search by dish: type "shark steak" and see the places that actually serve it. Build your own maps with friends and publish them to the marketplace. Change how the map looks: Western, Neon, Terminal, Comic, or make your own style in the Style Studio. A friend on the way to you rolls along the road as a 3D car. Every user has a cat companion that lives on the map, makes friends with your friends' cats and sends postcards. We started in Thailand; the rest of the world is next. Free on Android and the web.
