About Personal Planner - Plan, Track, Reflect
Plan your day, track your time, and keep the history worth learning from.
Thirty minutes on the plan. An hour on the timer. That kept happening to me. The frustrating part was making the same estimate again the next day, because I wasn't really looking back at what happened. So I built Personal Planner, my first independently released app. It brings planning, task timers and daily reviews together, so yesterday gives you something useful to work with. You place tasks on a day or week timeline and start a timer when you begin. The time you planned stays beside the time you actually spent. Later, you can review the day with your tasks, tracked time and notes in one place. Write why something was skipped, see what moved, and return to older weeks without losing the context. It also includes recurring tasks, templates, an inbox for later ideas, and experiments for trying a routine over a few weeks. Those experiments use time you've already tracked, so you don't have to log the same work twice. Personal Planner runs on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android. It works offline without an account, with data stored on your device. Optional cross-device sync uses your own Supabase project and requires setup. The app is free and open source under the MIT license, with no subscriptions or paid feature tiers. I use it every day, and I'm sharing it here to find people who might find it useful. I'd especially like feedback on the review side: what would you want to know about last week before planning the next one? Source code and downloads: https://github.com/Karthikshabari/PersonalPlanner
