About Afterward: a private job-search tracker
Tracks job applications, shows who to follow up today, drafts the message
Afterward is a finished, tested web app for people who are actively job hunting. It logs applications, applies follow-up rules to show who to chase today, drafts the message, and sets reminders (Google Calendar or .ics). Data stays on the device, and the page makes no network requests of its own; anything that leaves (such as opening Google Calendar) happens only when the user chooses it. Version 2.0.0 also includes a complete pricing and licensing system: Free, Plus ($19 one-time), Pro ($39 one-time), Coach ($199/yr) and Organization (from $1,800/yr), unlocked by signed keys that are checked on the device. A command-line tool makes the signing key, mints keys and delivers a sale. The app ships with no signing key (preview mode), so the buyer generates their own. WHAT'S INCLUDED Full source: one self-contained HTML app (about 330 KB) plus the modules it is built from Key tooling: keygen, mint, order and check commands More than 400 automated checks, all passing Docs: product spec, monetization plan (tiers, going live, refunds, key rotation), security notes, the sourced figures behind the in-app FAQ, changelog Research files and the full 35-commit history The name "Afterward" and a written transfer of rights on sale Not included: domain, hosting, users, revenue, social accounts, email accounts. SALE TYPE Exclusive sale: the buyer gets the code, documents and the name "Afterward", and we stop using them. THIRD-PARTY CODE AND LICENCES Two fonts, Fraunces and Hanken Grotesk, are embedded under the Open Font License (licence text included in the docs folder). The test tool jsdom and its own dependencies are installed with npm for the tests and are not bundled. There is no other third-party code or artwork in the app, and no AI model inside it. NOT BUILT Automatic key delivery from a payment provider is a written design only (see MONETIZATION.md), not built or tested. There is no payment-provider integration, hosting or account system. TO GO LIVE Host the single file on any static host, generate your own signing key, set up a payment provider, and deliver keys with the order command. The steps are in MONETIZATION.md. TECH STACK Plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript; no framework and no dependencies for the app. Installable and works offline (manifest and service worker). Node scripts for tooling and tests. WHY THIS PRICE Rebuilding the app, the licensing and order tooling, 400+ automated checks and the documentation from scratch would take a contractor roughly 200-300 hours; the price is a discount on that. REASON FOR SELLING We built it as a product and don't plan to run it as a business ourselves. NOTES FOR BUYERS Pre-revenue: no users, no traffic, no paying customers. Not hosted: a private demo is available to serious buyers. The source is shared after an NDA is signed. Built by a small team with AI assistance. The interview research in the history used synthetic personas, as the docs state. No trademark search has been done on the name. Sold as-is, with 30 days of questions answered after the sale.
