About PlainlyKit PDF Merge
Merge PDFs in your browser without uploading documents
PlainlyKit PDF Merge is a free browser tool for combining PDF pages without uploading the selected documents to a processing server. This is a project showcase from the maker, shared for feedback on its workflow and limits. Select two or more PDFs, check their order, combine them and download the result. The interface supports adding and removing files, moving documents up or down, and cancelling a running task. Processing uses a Web Worker so the interface can remain responsive. The current limits are 20 files, 50 MiB combined input and 500 pages. Those are guardrails, not a guarantee that every accepted batch will finish on every device. Password-protected documents and detected interactive forms or certification permissions are rejected. This is page merging: bookmarks and embedded attachments are not preserved, and the tool does not provide OCR or digital-signature validation. The application uses Astro, TypeScript and pdf-lib. Its source repository is private. No paid plan or account is required to use this tool. Feedback welcome on file ordering, error messages, accessibility and handling smaller batches on mobile devices. This listing was prepared with AI assistance.
