About Mochi
An AI health coach that lives in iMessage. Text your food, it does the rest.
What Mochi does You tell Mochi what you're actually working toward, whether it's a number on the scale, a lift or a shirt size, and then you just text it. Snap a photo, describe what you ate or send a voice note, and it logs the calories and macros instantly. Mochi reaches out first, checking in during the day, recapping every evening, sending a weekly summary on Sundays and calling out stalls instead of staying quiet. There's no app to open: it runs in iMessage and also works on Android over SMS/RCS. Plans are a 3-day free trial, Pro and Max, and Max goes all in with unlimited logging, weekly summaries, barcode and restaurant/lookup, streak cards, coach tone options, accountability partners and Apple Health sync. Where it stands It's built and functional, with the subscription infrastructure already set up. I haven't tapped into its full potential yet, so there's real room to grow. You'd be getting the product, the codebase, the domain and all the work that's already gone into building the system. The growth angle There's real interest and a real market here. Grand View Research values the global diet and nutrition apps market at $2.1 billion in 2024, heading to $4.6 billion by 2030, and puts digital health coaching at $11.0 billion. Companies in this space are making millions, too: Cal AI, a photo-based calorie tracker, passed $30 million in annual revenue in under two years before MyFitnessPal acquired it, according to TechCrunch. Yet AI coaching over text is still fairly untapped, with only a handful of small players so far. Mochi's hook is simple ("text your food instead of opening a calorie-tracking app"), and the big consumer channels are still wide open: short-form content, creator partnerships, fitness communities and SEO. For someone who knows consumer growth, that's a lot of upside. Costs About $20/mo fixed, plus variable OpenAI API usage.
