About Fleet Manager: car-rental operations platform
Booking, contract, e-signature and returns in one self-hosted rental system
Fleet Manager is a complete platform for car-rental and fleet operations. The original version has been used in production by a real rental operator to replace paper contracts: about 15 minutes of paperwork per contract became under a minute. This v2.1 is the fully standalone, self-hosted edition of that system. WHAT IT DOES Fleet & bookings: vehicles, clients, companies and reservations on one dashboard, with live fleet status. Automatic contracts: pick a vehicle and a client, and the contract is generated from the booking data using your own templates. Built-in template editor (rich text or .docx import) with live preview. Built-in e-signature: clients and staff sign from any phone via a secure link, in turn order. Every signed PDF is sealed (PAdES) and comes with a signature certificate; any later change to the file is detected. No DocuSign or per-signature fees. Insurance-replacement rentals: a dedicated contract flow for insurer-paid vehicles. Returns: mileage, fuel and photos logged against each contract. Client history and blacklist flag, revenue and utilisation reports, EN / RO / ES interface. TECH React 18 + Vite + Tailwind, Python FastAPI + SQLAlchemy 2 + PostgreSQL, Gotenberg for PDF. Four Docker containers, one-command install, built-in backup and restore. Fully self-hosted: no third-party SaaS, no per-seat or per-vehicle fees. QUALITY 211 backend and 68 frontend automated tests, a fresh-install test, a backup/restore drill, an open-source licence check, and a pre-sale security audit with the findings fixed. WHAT YOU GET Full source code in a clean repository, architecture documentation, installation guide and a walkthrough video. Optional paid support, customisation and hosting from the original developer. OPTIONS Full exclusive sale of all IP, or a non-exclusive licence (code + setup help) for rental software companies, agencies or operators who want to own their system. Honest numbers: pre-revenue. The production deployment was a pilot and does not transfer as a paying customer.
