About KPM: merchant operations app
Merchant operations app: inventory, sales, accounting, ML reconciliation
KPM is a working operations app for small merchants. It covers inventory, sales, basic accounting, customers and suppliers, a business insights dashboard, and an onboarding flow, behind email authentication. A separate Python service matches incoming payments to sales and flags unusual transactions. Stack: Next.js 16 frontend, FastAPI backend, PostgreSQL, a Python ML service, Docker. It runs as a live demo but was never commercially launched. There is no revenue and no real users. You would be buying a finished codebase to launch, rebrand or build into your own product, not a business. Included: full source for the frontend, backend and ML service; full IP and copyright assignment by written agreement; written documentation in the repo (README, local setup, environment variables, deployment and a handover checklist); 15 days of handover support by email and video call. There is no domain: the demo runs on a Vercel subdomain. Not included: customers (there are none), a domain, or any third-party accounts or API keys (you set up your own). Testing: the repo has automated tests (frontend unit tests, 26 backend API and security tests, 6 ML tests and a Playwright smoke test), and I tested the app by hand while building it. The unit and API tests pass when run locally (the backend ones against SQLite only, not Postgres); the Playwright smoke test was not run recently. ML: The reconciliation and anomaly-detection code has unit tests (6 passing) and was run on generated sample data and a small set of about 17 real mobile-money and bank-app records as a smoke test. It has not been validated for accuracy on real payment data, and it needs a parser for SMS or bank exports to be used on them. Security and load: A code-level security review and one local load test were done and the findings fixed or listed in the handover guide. It handled 50 simulated concurrent users with no errors on one small server with a SQLite database, and degraded beyond that. No external audit or penetration test. Not done: an external audit or penetration test, validating the ML on real payment data, and load testing on Postgres. Running cost: the demo runs on free hosting tiers. Terms: the repository is private and shared after an NDA. Payment only through Escrow.com by bank wire. I hand over the code and GitHub ownership once Escrow.com shows the funds as secured. I won't accept direct payments, cheques, crypto or payment apps. Demo: https://frontend-five-zeta-28.vercel.app Contact: judeazane01@gmail.com
